In October this year, Danmore Chuma, a community volunteer and Edgars Club member, approached Edgars Club on behalf of a child in Chiweshe with a medical appeal. Motion Mutumwa, a grade 6 pupil at Bare Primary School, needed to undergo surgery for a hard tumour swollen in his nose. The problem developed about four years ago, but Motion had not received medical assistance as his parents were unable to raise the necessary funds for the operation. Seeing Edgars' role in Corporate Social Responsibility, and being a beneficiary of the Edgars ...

Understandably, Linda was emotionally affected by the incident, and she describes the effect of the fire as "tragic and disheartening". Our CSR activities have continued from last year and we are going strong with assisting as much as we can. One of the groups we assisted was the Mhondoro-Marirangwe-Manyame Trust (MMMT Trust). Edgars was humbled by the work the MMMT Trust does for these disadvantaged children, and was pleased to be able to donate $2 000 towards this worthy cause. This money was put towards covering the school ...
