Edgars Promotes Local Designers

22 September 2014

During this year’s edition of the Fashion Extravaganza promotion, Edgars is excited to be showcasing and championing local design talent. Edgars is partnering with Zimbabwean designers through designer racks within two branches, which will serve as fashion hubs: 8th Avenue/Jason Moyo branch in Bulawayo, and Stanley House branch in Harare. The activation will be running from 15th September to 31st October 2014.

Five designers will be showcasing their designs this year: Dee-Kaw-Zee, Mucha, Saru Murungu, Zargue'sia, Znzorzi and Zuvva. Their merchandise will be available for purchase in the fashion hubs. This is the first time that Edgars has forged such partnerships as part of the Fashion Extravaganza, and this exciting development allows customers to become more acquainted with local design talent which they may not have been aware of. As this year’s promotion seeks to emphasise merchandise as the focal point of the promotion, these partnerships also highlight the quality products and designs that are being produced locally.

Edgars hopes to be able to strengthen these ties with the local design industry and support more designers in future Fashion Extravaganza promotions. Customers can also get to know these designers through future editions of the Club Magazine, which is back with a bang and available in-store to Club members.
